LockLeaf Terms

These terms explain the rules for using LockLeaf, including study content, Screen Time features, subscriptions, and account responsibilities.

Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using LockLeaf, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Description of Service

LockLeaf is a study and focus app. It helps users build decks, generate quizzes, and optionally block selected apps using Apple Screen Time and Family Controls features so temporary unlock time is earned through study.

2. Accounts and Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use LockLeaf. The app may start with an anonymous account and may let you link Sign in with Apple later. You are responsible for activity that occurs through your account or device.

3. Screen Time and App Blocking

Blocking features are voluntary tools you configure on your own device. You choose which apps or categories to block. Blocking and unlock features may depend on iOS version, hardware, permissions, and Apple frameworks.

4. Paid Features, Trials, and Billing

LockLeaf may offer optional paid subscriptions or trials through the App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.

5. AI Features and Study Content

LockLeaf may use AI to generate flashcards, quizzes, explanations, titles, and study suggestions from topics or source material you provide. AI output may be incomplete or inaccurate, so you are responsible for reviewing generated content before relying on it.

6. User Content, Uploads, and Sharing

You retain ownership of content you create, upload, paste, scan, import, or share. You give us a limited license to process, store, transmit, sync, and display that content only as needed to operate the service. You must only upload or share material you own or have permission to use.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to reverse engineer or tamper with the app, bypass purchases or protections, abuse rate limits, use bots or automated abuse, or upload illegal, harmful, infringing, or privacy-violating material.

8. Intellectual Property

The app, including its code, design, branding, artwork, sounds, and original product content, is owned by us or our licensors and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of our intellectual property to you.

9. Privacy and Data Deletion

Your use of LockLeaf is also governed by our Privacy Policy. You can delete your account from Settings, but deleting your account does not automatically cancel an App Store subscription. Some limited records may be retained where required for legal, billing, fraud-prevention, tax, or security purposes.

10. Disclaimers and Liability

LockLeaf is provided as is and as available. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost data, interruption of use, or losses caused by blocked access, missed notifications, or inability to open another app during a focus session.

11. Changes and Termination

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes may be communicated in the app or by updating the effective date above. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if you violate these Terms, misuse the service, create legal risk, or if we discontinue part of the service.
